2013 Year in Review

Here are some of the highlights of 2013 for FreedomHouse.tv. Above all else, we recognize God’s hand of favor and blessing on this new church plant. This is His church, and He is leading it. We also appreciate all the friends who have given, prayed, and supported this new church this far, knowing we could not have done any of this without your participation.

We turned in our application to the IRS to be recognized as a 501c3 nonprofit corporation, opened a bank account, purchased a PC computer, set up Quickbooks accounting software, set up administrative systems, and finalized information for website. We designed and printed business cards, invite cards, wristbands, t-shirts, the Welcome Center banner, offering envelopes, and internal admin forms. A friend donated a logo for the kids ministry.

The board adopted several new policies and procedures. The pastors attended the ARC Church Planting conference in Jacksonville and began to travel and share the church vision with other pastors and friends. We purchased office equipment, printed curriculum for youth and children’s ministries, and received a couple of road cases from a church in Minnesota. We raised $10,000 for used church equipment.

The pastors moved to Cincinnati. We started a small group at the Barger’s home to begin casting vision and values. The pastors attending an ARC church planting exchange in Nashville, connected with other pastor friends, and visited a church plant in Michigan. We designed and printed communication cards for church vision and kids ministry. We began to reach out into the community.

We had our first Interest Meeting and connected with more people. Kara moved to Ohio to join the team. Kara designed the Thrive and Ignite logos. We purchased children’s ministry resources. We purchased tubs for the nursery and preschool ministries and organized children’s ministry resources. We secured a storage unit for the church equipment and a place to park the trailer. The church gave to missionaries in Thailand, Ethiopia, and China. The church also donated toys to the Isaiah House Christmas outreach.

There is still much to do in growing the launch team and raising another $30,000 for the facility, outreach, and advertising. We aim to launch on March 30th. Your prayers, giving, and encouragement are what will help us get FreedomHouse.tv launched to reach people in Cincinnati for Jesus Christ!
